A soccer resume, or Player Profile, is a cridical peice to the search process. A players resume is a great tool to communicate a players background to a perspective school. Be sure you are thorough and accurate when writting your resume. Your soccer resume should be a living document over the course of your search. That is, as you acheive athletic and/or academic awards you need to update your resume to include these. Make sure you are continually updating your resume with you latest achievments academically and athletically.

A good resume should include the following catagoirues and information:
Personal Information
- Name
- Parent(s) Names
- Compete Address
- Phone number with area code
- E-mails
- High School
- Cumulative GPA
- SAT and ACT scores (dates of when you plan to take them, if you haven’t)
Athletics
- Sport (position)
- Years of playing
- Height, weight, right or left foot dominate
- Other sport specific information (vertical or 40 yard dash…if a good)
Awards
- High School, All-Tournament/Conference, All-State, All-American
- Records
- Other sports
- Academic Awards
- Service Awards
- Volunteer
Camps or Clinics
- List site (name of event), dates and person in charge
Other Accomplishments
- Team Captain (years)
- Certification as an official
Reference List
- Club Director of Coaching
- Current Club Coach
- Previous Club Coach
- Current High School Coach
- Previous High School Coach
- Academic references
- Character references
