Legacy Program Overview

The San Tan Soccer Club Legacy program is our competitive soccer program. Each age group is represented beginning with U7 through U19, boys and girls. Due to the available talent and demand of the program, there may be multiple teams in each age group consisting of the Red, White,Blue, Gold, Silver, Bronze teams. The emphasis in the Legacy program is on player development and the development the whole team. While winning is important, our main focus is on development.

Players are introduced to high level of play and coaching with training twice a week (U7-U9), training twice a week plus a one hour Skills session every other week (U10) and three times a week with two regular practices session and another day combining a one hour Skills session and a one hour Speed & Conditioning session (U11-U18) with our professional coaches and staff.

Legacy teams U10 and under play in the State Open League. The State Open League consists of teams from other soccer clubs throughout the Phoenix metropolitan area. San Tan Legacy teams under the age of 10 will play in tournaments between August and March.

Legacy teams age U11 thru U18 play in either the competitive State league or the State Open League depending on their teams level. The State league plays against teams from other soccer clubs throughout the Phoenix metropolitan area and even beyond. These Legacy teams also play in a number of tournaments throughout the state, and may go out of state as well. At the end of the year (April-May), these teams participate in the State Cup or the Presidents Open Cup Tournament.

The Legacy program is dedicated to developing top-rated soccer players at the highest levels of competition, and to prepare individual players for high school, collegiate, and professional competition. To accomplish these goals, we have developed a style of play that runs throughout all the teams and is reached by developing "Complete Players" in a "Total Soccer" concept. The team practices are a combination of a competitive and fun teaching environment, based on age-appropriate curriculum. These methods develop a players and teams ability to score goals, implement strategies, develop a competitive mentality, strengthen teamwork, and generate a passion for the game.
