2013 will be the 28th anniversary of the Holiday Classic Tournament. The tournament is held each December in the Chandler/Mesa/Scottsdale area of Arizona. While most other areas of the country are cold, wet and usually snowy at this time of year, we enjoy warm sunny weather ideal for outdoor soccer. Come and join in the fun as some of the best young teams meet for a weekend of great soccer!
The Holiday Classic is a GotSoccer Platinum (Boys) and Gold (Girls) tournament We provide brackets for all levels of competition including competitive, developmental and recreational teams in age groups U7 through U14. Each team is guaranteed a minimum of three games, with many playing four games. Team brackets are based on the information supplied on the tournament application form and GotSoccer records.

Out of town teams - Friday night at the location of your first game, or check in Saturday at the field 90 minutes prior to your first game. If you have an 8am game at SSC or Snedigar, or a 9am game at Red Mountain, check in is 60 minutes before your first game

Membership in US Youth Soccer, AYSO, US Club Soccer, or any other USSF Affiliate.
Foreign teams, including those from Canada and Mexico.
Age Groups: U7 through U14 - For age bracket information refer to our AGE MATRIX.
Teams with loan players must not exceed the maximum roster limit.
Players may only play for 1 tournament team. All players must have player passes issued by official organization. All passes must be issued by the same organization, (i.e. No mixing passes. )Passes must include the player’s photo.
Academy Teams - Do not need player passes, but must provide an AYSA issued roster. Academy players may play in 2 squads for the same team if the team plays with a non-fixed roster and the players are registered as AYSA Academy players. For example, Team Red has 15 players and splits into Team Red 1 and Team Red 2, (both teams must register in the tournament). A player may play for both Red 1 & Red 2, but their play time must not exceed 80 minutes of soccer per day.

The Fine Print:
The tournament reserves the right to change the schedule as needed up to the start of the tournament or during the tournament. It is the responsibility of coaches and managers to know their latest schedule.
Each age bracket U07-U14 will be formed based on the minimum number of teams necessary to form the bracket. If an age bracket cannot be formed the existing teams will move up to the next higher age bracket (exception: U8 and U11 will not move up to U9 and U12 respectively).
All valley teams (Maricopa and Pinal counties) will be considered for a Friday night game as needed for scheduling purposes. We will first use teams that request Friday night.
Out of town teams will be considered for an 8AM or 9AM games Saturday morning.
Teams will not be scheduled unless payment is received by November 22.
The tournament schedule cannot work around league games. Use your balckout dates to avoid conflicts.
We will try and avoid coaching conflicts both in location and game times in bracket play for coaches that have 2 teams. However, not all conflicts can be avoided. If you are coaching more than 2 teams or coaching a young team (U7-U11) and an older team (U12-U14), conflicts may occur. Please have an assistant coach on your roster. There is no guarantee to avoid conflicts in semi and final game schedules.

As per the Application Agreement checked off during registration, teams forfeit registration fees they wish to withdraw after being accepted to the tournament

Please do NOT call the San Tan phone number or email board directors, presidents, vice presidents, commissioners, age directors, directors of coaching, managers or any other person for tournament related questions. This will guarantee a delay in the respond time.
