Since 1979, Legacy (formerly San Tan Soccer Club) has been working with kids creating a path for players to develop, beginning with their first experience in soccer to their fullest potential as athletes. Legacy is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization. We have an administrative staff and professional coaches, directors, and coordinators; however, our organization is run primarily by volunteers.

Legacy has over 3000 kids playing in the Legacy Recreational Program and over 700 playing in the competitive Legacy program. Legacy offers good sized programs for kids of all skill levels from ages U4 to U18. While Chandler is home-town to most of the players, our sought after program pulls from all neighboring cities.
What programs does Legacy (formerly San Tan Soccer Club) provide?
The LEGACY ACADEMY program is for boys and girls, age groups U5-U8, of all abilities. The Legacy Academy program is part of the Legacy recreational youth development and is staffed with our Legacy professional coaches. The players will establish a love of the game through exciting soccer activities. These activities emphasize involvement, fun and the development of the childs motor skills.
The LEGACY RECREATIONAL program focuses on teaching fundamental ball skills in a fun, positive atmosphere. All players play a minimum of 50% of each game. Coaching is primarily performed by volunteer parents. Professional trainers are available for recreational teams, at no additional cost as part of our Legacy Rec Training Program.
The LEGACY EXCEL program is the bridge between the Legacy Recreational Program and the competitive Legacy Program. These teams play in the Legacy Recreational league but are coached by the Legacy professional coaching staff. Our Legacy Excel program is open to all Boys and Girls in the U6 to U11 age groups that are looking for a competitive atmosphere in which to increase their playing ability.
The LEGACY program is our competitive side. The emphasis in the Legacy program is on individual skills development and team-building. Winning is important, but it is not the focus of play in the program. We are developing strong teams and strong soccer players. Players are introduced to a high level of play and coaching at a young age. Legacy teams play in a league against other soccer clubs throughout the Phoenix metropolitan area and sometimes further away. Legacy teams also play in a number of tournaments throughout the state, and sometimes out-of-state.
At Legacy there is a level of play available for all skill levels.
