Snedigar Sportsplex
(Home Fields for San Tan Soccer)

Snedigar Sportsplex has 70 acres of developed recreation area. In addition to soccer fields, the park features lighted baseball and softball fields, a skate park, bark park, and a recreation center. Construction is currently underway on additional fields for soccer, football, and cricket, located on the east side of Basha Rd.

is located in south Chandler, Arizona. The park is situated on the east side of Alma School Rd, approximately 3/8 mile south of Ocotillo Rd.

Legacy Assessments & Tryouts

San Tan is still looking for players for a few teams. The 00 Boys (U8), 98 Boys (U10), 96 Boys (U13) and 91 Boys (U18) are each looking for a couple of additional players. If you are interested in trying out for these or any other Legacy team, please email the director of coaching, Andy Bonchonsky.

 

San Tan Hires Director of Coaching

San Tan Youth Soccer Association announced the hiring of Andy Bonchonsky as Director of Coaching. He will be responsible for player, coach and team development.

"This is a great opportunity for our club," said Doug Sandstedt, president of San Tan. "It shows the commitment we've made to strive for excellence by adding a Director of Coaching wiht a high level of experience and success attained at all levels. We look forward to the continued development of our players and coaches, and the resulting success of our kids, both on and off the soccer pitch," said Mr. Sandstedt.

Mr. Bonchonsky comes to San Tan after 10 years of Director of Coaching experience at Bay Oaks Soccer Club in Oakland, California. Prior to Bay Oaks, he was the head coach of the women's program at the University of California Berkeley, where he led the team to a #2 national ranking and the national championships. Mr. Bonchonsky has 28 years of coaching experience at various clubs and universities, as well as experience in the olympic development program. He has also coached multiple California State ODP teams, producing four state cup championships and two regional championships. As a player, he was a state champion and offensive MVP in southern California. He played college soccer at UCLA, where the Bruins were ranked as high as #2 in the nation.
