Every Winter/Spring San Tan forms new teams to try and help bridge the gap between the Rec Program and the competitive Legacy program. We consider these development teams and we call them Legacy Excel (new name) teams. Although these teams differ from Legacy teams (Legacy teams are formed in May) they give players a chance to play on a team that has the same support program the Legacy teams have including Legacy level coaches.

We feel this program gives players a more advanced level of instruction then in the Rec program and can help players prepare to tryout for Legacy teams in May if they choose to. Below is more information about the Legacy Excel program and information about upcoming player assessment dates, times, and locations.

Legacy Excel Development Philosophy

Our Legacy developmental program is open to all kids in the U6 to U14 age groups that are looking for a competitive atmosphere in which to increase their playing ability. To accomplish this goal, the developmental program will include a fun and competitive teaching environment based on age appropriate curriculum. The developmental program will offer players and parents a glimpse at our Legacy program and the professionalism that comes with it. Instruction is based on the Legacy Player/Team development program under our Director of Coaching.

Each player will be placed on a team according to his or her age group. These teams will be called (Legacy Excel) teams. Each team will be assigned a high level coach and train at Snedigar. 

Any interested players are urged to come out.

Who: U6-U8 - 5pm - 6pm, U9-U14 - 6pm - 7pm

Important Legacy Excel Dates

Our developmental teams will begin the week of January TBA and will run thru May TBA. Teams will play in the Recreation Winter and Spring Seasons:

Winter - Jan TBA to and Feb TBA 
Spring - March TBA to May TBA

There will be 12 scheduled games. Legacy Excel teams will utilize all the same programs our Legacy teams do including our Speed and Conditioning program, our Goalkeeping program, and our Player, Team, and Coach Development program. Tournaments - Teams will potentially play in the San Tan Ostrich Festival Tournament and possibly additional tournament(s). Developmental Program Highlights

• 4 months of Legacy level professional training

Legacy Excel Costs

•  $280 registration/uniform fees
• Tournament teams entry fees - depending on the number of Tournaments.
